Scan paper cards and event badges
Photograph a paper business card or event badge, check what was read, and save the contact. What each plan includes and what happens to photos.
Open Scan, take a photo, check what was read, and save. Nothing is saved until you say so, and you go straight on to the next one.
In the Linq mobile app, tap the scan button and choose Card or badge.
| Plan | Paper cards a month | Event badges a month |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 | Not included |
| Pro | 150 | 500 |
| Business | 500 | 2,000 |
Your scans renew on the 1st of each month.
For the best results, lay the card flat in good light and fill the photo with it.
Paper business cards
On the Free plan, the card is read on your own device, so the photo stays there. On Pro and Business, an AI reader handles harder cards and layouts.
Event badges
Scanning badges comes with Pro. Choose the event first and everyone you scan is filed under it. A badge often shows only a name and a company, so you can save someone without an email or phone and add them later. If a badge has a QR code with the person’s details, it’s read from the code, which doesn’t use up a scan.
What happens to the photos
On Pro and Business, the photo goes to LlamaParse, our reading service, and is deleted from Linq as soon as it’s been read. If you don’t save a scan, what was read is deleted within 7 days.
