Publish, hide and unpublish your card

Make your Linq card live so your link and QR code work, or hide it temporarily without losing anything.

Your card is either live, meaning anyone with your link or QR code can see it, or not live, meaning your link shows a “This card isn’t available” page.

Publish your card

New cards start as drafts. You can publish in two ways:

  • On the Home screen, select Publish now in the “Your card isn’t live yet” banner.
  • In My card, turn on the Live switch at the top of the page.

You need a display name before you can publish. If it’s missing, the banner offers Complete profile instead.

Check whether your card is live

  • In My card, the switch reads Live (green) or Not live.
  • On a computer, the card at the bottom of the sidebar says Card is live or Not published.
  • If you try to share a card that isn’t live, Linq reminds you to publish it first.

Hide your card

Turn off the Live switch in My card. Your link and QR code immediately stop showing your details; visitors see “This card isn’t available” instead.

Hiding doesn’t delete anything. Your details, contacts, documents and insights are all kept, and turning Live back on restores the same link.

Hiding is useful if you change jobs and haven’t updated your card yet, or if you shared your QR code somewhere you’d rather it stopped working.

What isn’t affected by publishing

  • Your link never changes. Publishing, hiding and editing all keep the same address and QR code.
  • Edits are instant. While your card is live, saved changes show up for visitors right away. There’s nothing to republish.
