Troubleshooting

Fixes for common Linq problems: card not available, verification codes, sign-in, uploads, scanning QR codes, email signatures and invitations.

Your card probably isn’t live. Open My card and check that the switch at the top says Live. If you’ve never published your card, select Publish now on the Home screen. See Publish, hide and unpublish your card.

If your card is live, check the link for typos. Using Copy or Share in the app avoids mistakes.

I can’t publish my card

Your card needs a display name before it can go live. Add your name in My card, select Save, then turn on Live.

My changes don’t show on my card

Make sure you selected Save in the bar at the bottom of My card. If the bar is still visible, your changes haven’t been saved yet. Then refresh your card in the browser.

I didn’t get my verification code

  • Check your spam or promotions folder.
  • On the code screen, select Resend code.
  • Make sure you typed your email address correctly. If not, start the sign-up again.

I can’t sign in

  • Use the same method you signed up with: if you used Continue with Google, sign in with Google again.
  • If you’ve forgotten your password, select Forgot password? on the sign-in page. See Reset a forgotten password.

My photo won’t upload

Photos must be JPG, PNG or WebP and 5 MB or smaller. Try a smaller image or take a screenshot of it.

My document won’t upload

Documents must be PDFs of 10 MB or less. Other file types, such as Word documents or images, need to be exported to PDF first.

I can’t add another document

Free cards hold 1 document and Pro cards up to 20. Delete a document you no longer need, or upgrade to Pro.

A document doesn’t appear on my card

Check in Documents that it’s set to Public and isn’t hidden (look for the Hidden label), and that your card is live.

I’m not seeing new contacts or views

  • Views are only counted while your card is live.
  • Contacts only arrive when visitors send you their details from your card, with the Stay in touch form or the exchange after Save contact.
  • In Contacts, make sure the filter is set to All statuses, no tag is selected and the search box is empty.

The scanner can’t use my camera

  • Allow camera access when your browser asks. If you blocked it, allow it again in your browser’s site settings for app.linq-business.com, then reopen Scan.
  • If there’s no camera (on a computer, for example), select Choose a photo and pick a photo or screenshot of the QR code.
  • If a photo doesn’t work, try a closer, sharper one with the whole code in view. See Scan and add contacts.

My email signature loses its formatting

Use Copy signature rather than selecting the preview yourself, and paste it straight into your email app’s signature settings. In Apple Mail, uncheck Always match my default message font first. If your email tool asks for HTML, use Copy HTML instead. See Share kit.

Invitation is invalid or expired

Invitation links expire after 7 days and can only be used once. Ask a team owner or admin to Renew it from Members, which emails it to you again. Also make sure you’re signed in with the same email address the invitation was sent to: if you’re signed in with another account, the invitation page offers Switch account.

I didn’t get the invitation email

Check your spam or junk folder, and the Promotions or Updates tabs in Gmail. If it isn’t there, ask the person who invited you to Extend the invitation (it’s emailed again), or to Copy link and send it to you another way. See Email notifications.

“This team is paused”

Teams need an owner with Pro. If you’re an owner, renew from Plan in the app. If you’re a member, ask an owner to renew. Nothing in the team has been deleted. See Teams.

I paid but still see the Free plan

Right after you approve on PayPal it can take a few seconds to confirm. Refresh Plan. If it still shows Free after a few minutes, contact us with the email address of your PayPal account.
