Physical NFC cards: register or order one

A Linq card is a physical business card with an NFC chip and a QR code. When someone holds their phone to it, or scans the code, your digital card opens. Because it opens your live card, you never need to reprint it when your details change.

A physical card is optional. Your digital card already works on its own with your link and QR code.

Everything below happens in Physical cards in the app. On a computer it’s in the sidebar; on your phone, open More in the tab bar.

Register a card you already have

1. Open Physical cards.
2. Under Already have a Linq card?, enter the serial number printed on the card, for example LINQ-a1b2c3d4-00042.
3. Enter the PIN that’s printed on the card or came with it.
4. Select Register card.

The card is linked to your account straight away and opens your digital card. It appears in the list with its status; you can register more cards later with Register a card at the top of the page.

If registration fails, check the serial number and PIN carefully. A card can only be registered once; if it’s already linked to someone else, contact us.

You can also scan a brand-new card with your phone: it opens an activation page that asks you to sign in and enter the PIN.

Design and order a card

Select Order a card (or Design your card). The card designer shows both sides of your card at their real proportions, and saves your choices as you go.

1. Style

Pick one of six styles:

Style	Look
Aurora	Our violet-to-indigo gradient with a soft glow.
Midnight	Deep black with fine lines and a violet edge.
Pearl	Warm white with a slim brand stripe.
Brushed metal	Silver metal look with an engraved feel.
Ocean	Teal gradient with gentle waves.
Signature	The color of your digital card.

Then choose a matte or gloss finish (brushed metal has its own satin finish).

2. Details

For each detail, choose Front, Back or Off:

• Photo (your initials if you haven’t added a photo)
• Name (always on the card)
• Job title and company
• Phone, email and website
• QR code

Start from a ready-made layout (Classic, All on front or Minimal) and fine-tune from there. You can also align each side to the left or center it.

The details come from your digital card. To change them, edit your card: your design picks up the changes automatically.

3. Review and checkout

Check both sides, choose how many cards you’d like (up to 100), and select Checkout.

The waitlist

We’re opening card orders country by country. If ordering isn’t available where you are yet, checkout explains this and lets you join the waitlist:

• Enter your name, email and country (city, phone and a note are optional).
• We’ll email you as soon as you can order in your country.
• Your design stays saved. Come back to Physical cards anytime to keep editing it, and you’ll pick up exactly where you left off.

To change your details or leave the waitlist, open Physical cards and select View waitlist status. Discard design deletes your saved design and takes you off the waitlist.

Lost or replaced cards

If you lose a card, contact us. We can suspend it so it stops opening your card, and link a replacement to your account. Your digital card and its link keep working throughout.
